Youth with education and employment goals that are motivated and need to learn job readiness and occupational skills may be eligible for assistance in a local American Job Center.

Our offices serve as an outreach to veterans and insure veterans' priority of service in referral to jobs and other services. Employment-related testing, training information, skills assessment and case management are among the services provided.  

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is an employment training program for low-income, unemployed individuals aged 55 years and older. 

Are you reluctant to hire difficult-to-bond individuals? The Federal Bonding Program can help you hire and bond high-risk applicants.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment and Training helps eligible participants achieve their vocational goals and increase self-sufficiency through funded education, skills training, and supportive services.  SNAP E&T services are a combined effort between the Department of Human Services (TDHS), Department of Labor (TDLWD), and community partnerships. 

The Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Program offers a variety of benefits and services to workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work are reduced as a result of increased imports. Workers whose company is an upstream supplier to the primary company or a downstream finisher may also apply. The goal of TAA is to help trade-affected workers return to suitable employment as quickly as possible.

Many migrant farmworkers travel to Tennessee each year to help with the cultivating and harvesting of several crops in specific regions of the state. Through our Migrant and Seasonal Farm Worker Program, we help farmworkers and the employers who hire them.

This federally funded program provides intensive reemployment services to eligible claimants receiving unemployment benefits who are selected to participate.  Once an unemployment claim is filed and a customer is selected, it is a federal requirement that the customer participate in the RESEA program to continue to receive their unemployment benefits.
